Why Choose IOH Nutrition? Our Story. Our Inspiration. Our Purpose.

Why IOH Nutrition

Most supplement companies start with a marketing idea. Ours didn't.

Ours was born out of necessity, resilience, and the refusal to accept the easy way out.

Dr. Andreas Boettcher, founder of It's Only Halftime Nutrition

Physician-grade formulas, built around your goals, your health, your fitness. I won't ask you to take anything I don't take myself — these are what I use to redefine how I age and keep my own medicine cabinet empty. Which is why there's no fitness model on this page. There's me.

The record

Three times the system offered me a prescription. Three times I said no.

Round one 30sAutoimmune diagnosis

Microscopic hematuria

Dr. Andreas Boettcher
Taking full responsibility — training, nutrition, and targeted supplementation.

In my early 30s, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition — microscopic hematuria — where I was literally passing blood you couldn't even see.

The medical solution? Lifelong ACE inhibitors. But I refused to accept that as my future. Something in me knew that masking the symptom wasn't the same as solving the problem. So I made a choice: I was going to find a way to help my body heal itself.

At that point, I had weight to lose, a diet to clean up, and fitness to reclaim. I knew if I was going to turn this around, it had to start with me — taking full responsibility for my health, cleaning up what I was putting into my body, rebuilding my training, and supporting my body with targeted, proven nutrition.

Outcome

Over time, the bleeding stopped. My labs normalized. My kidney function strengthened year after year, and those markers continue to outperform expectations — without a single prescription.

Round two 47Testosterone 216 ng/dL

The second battle: low testosterone

Dr. Andreas Boettcher strength training
Strength training replaced the endless steady-state cardio.

Fast forward to age 47. My testosterone had plummeted to 216 nanograms per deciliter.

Once again, the conventional solution was a lifelong prescription — testosterone replacement therapy. And once again, I said no.

Instead, I leaned on the same philosophy that had saved me before: trust the body's innate intelligence, give it the right tools, remove what breaks it down, and let the doctor within do its job.

I stopped punishing my body with endless hours of steady-state cardio from my Ironman years, which was driving cortisol sky-high. I shifted to strength training, precision nutrition, recovery, and strategic supplementation built around purity, potency, and proven effectiveness — the very DNA of It's Only Halftime Nutrition.

Outcome

Today, at 56, my testosterone naturally averages between 800 and 900 nanograms per deciliter. No injections. No gels. No patches. Just the right combination of lifestyle, nutrition, and supplementation.

Round three Emergency surgery

The back surgery comeback

Dr. Andreas Boettcher after rebuilding from back surgery
Rebuilt without pain medication — stronger, fitter, leaner.

But my journey didn't stop there. Along the way, I faced emergency back surgery — a challenge that could have sidelined me for life. Once again, the easy path would have been pain medications, dependency, and decline. But I chose a different way.

I rebuilt my body, step by step, without pain medications. I returned stronger, fitter, leaner.

Outcome

Today, at 56, I maintain 10% or less body fat year-round and am in the best shape of my life — not in spite of those challenges, but because of how I faced them.

Testosterone 216 → 800–900ng/dL, naturally
Body composition 10% or lessbody fat, year-round
Prescriptions Zeromedicine cabinet is empty
Peptides Zeronever used them
Clinical experience 33+ yrsphysician-led, lab-guided

These are my own results, documented through my own lab work over more than two decades. They are one man's outcome, not a promise, an average, or a typical result. Nothing here is a claim that any dietary supplement treats, cures, or prevents disease, and nothing here should be used in place of care from your own physician.

Not a business plan

I didn't study this. I've lived it.

Sports performance, health, fitness, longevity — this hasn't been a career path for me. It's been my life, in one form or another, for as long as I can remember. Long before there was a supplement line, there were finish lines, start lines, and a lot of mornings where the work happened whether I felt like it or not.

That's why these formulas exist. Not because a market analysis said supplements were a good business, but because I needed things that actually worked, at doses that actually did something, and I got tired of not finding them.

Crossing an Ironman finish with my son. Three Ironman triathlons, and this is the one I think about. 140.6 miles is a long time alone with your own decisions — and the person waiting at the end is the whole reason you make good ones. This is what I mean when I say the second half matters. It's not about a physique. It's about being there, capable, for the people who need you to be.
Dr. Andreas Boettcher racing a stand-up jet ski in his 50s Still in it
Racing stand-up jet skis in my 50s. If you've never ridden one, they're brutal — pure grip, core, and lower body, and the water punishes anything you've let slide. Which is exactly the point. I'm not interested in aging into the spectator seats. The whole premise of It's Only Halftime is that the second half is when you're supposed to still be playing.
What matters most

Despite the physique, the strength, and the fitness milestones, this is what I'm proudest of.

At 56, I've broken free of the narrative that tells men and women over 40 that declining energy, low libido, expanding waistlines, and a cabinet full of prescriptions are somehow the new normal.

I live independent of that system. My labs are optimized. My energy is high. And my medicine cabinet is empty. That, more than anything, is the vision I hold — not just for myself, but for every client, every customer, and every member of our community.

Our philosophy

Quality, purity, and proof

These battles didn't just shape me. They shaped the philosophy behind It's Only Halftime Nutrition.

Our quality policy results in dietary supplements that meet or exceed industry standards for quality. Our evaluation criteria are comprehensive, and every one of them affects quality and efficacy:

IdentityConfirmed raw material, verified against specification.
PurityScreened for heavy metals and environmental contaminants.
PotencyActives present at label strength, not at trace levels.
StrengthDose held consistent from batch to batch.
CompositionWhat's on the label is what's in the bottle.

From raw material selection through encapsulating and bottling, to shipping of the finished product, our products adhere to the strictest quality control standards. Every step is thoroughly controlled so our customers receive consistently potent, effective supplements every time they order. Our Quality Assurance program is built for optimum potency and maximum freedom from environmental contaminants.

We use the highest quality sources for raw materials and select cGMP labs for production. Each product goes through extensive testing. Every manufacturing facility we use is registered with the FDA for dietary supplement manufacturing, and our cGMPs meet or exceed FDA guidelines for dietary supplements.

All processing and manufacturing is done in isolated clean rooms to prevent cross contamination of ingredients and products. We use comprehensive, exacting standard operating procedures to determine every facet of the process.

The standard

We built this company because your body deserves the best — and far too many products give you the opposite.

What's in the bottle
  • Everything listed on the label, present in the capsule, tablet or powder
  • Raw materials from the highest quality sources, tested on receipt
  • Vegetable-based cellulose, rice bran or rice flour where a filler is unavoidable
  • Formulas free of wheat, corn protein, yeast, soy and dairy unless unavoidable
What's not
  • No unnecessary fillers, binders or flow agents
  • No artificial colors, sweeteners or preservatives
  • No proprietary blends hiding an underdose
  • No shortcuts. No compromises. Ever.

What you see on the label is exactly what's in the bottle — nothing more, nothing less. Because quality isn't a marketing claim for us. It's a non-negotiable standard.

Verification

Every raw material carries its own risk. So every raw material gets its own protocol.

Because each raw material has a unique microbial or environmental adulteration hazard, each one has a predetermined testing protocol suited to its own risk level.

Batch testing

Every batch of raw material is tested against recommended standards, including testing for heavy metals.

Identity confirmation

Products are tested to identify raw materials, assuring each finished product meets its intended identity, strength and composition specifications.

Lab audits

Audits of outside laboratory partners are performed to qualify their results.

Environmental monitoring

Microbiological hazard testing is integral to the program. Introduction of microbial adulterants during holding or processing is carefully monitored.

These steps are what allow us to stand behind the highest standards of quality, purity and potency — and to say so without hedging.

Proof that it works

We don't just believe our products work. We measure it.

Every client we coach undergoes before-and-after lab testing. We don't stop at "feeling better" — we measure, track, and document real biological change. Across our coaching population, the shifts we most commonly see are these:

01

Reduced inflammation markers

02

Improved insulin sensitivity

03

Improved hormone balance

04

Healthier cardiovascular profiles

05

Measurable gains in energy and vitality

Individual results vary. Lab changes observed in our coaching clients reflect a comprehensive program of nutrition, training, recovery and supplementation under physician supervision — not the effect of any single product.

Why this matters

Supplements don't heal you. Your body heals you.

Our role is to give your body the right tools, remove what it doesn't need, and let the doctor within do the rest.

And that is the vision behind It's Only Halftime Nutrition: to empower our clients, our customers, and our community to age gracefully, age powerfully, and remain pharmaceutically independent whenever possible.

Because shouldn't that be the goal of every health practice, every wellness company, every physician? To help people live long, strong, and free — not chained to prescriptions?

That's our mission. Not hype. Not shortcuts. Just purity, potency, and proof.

Yes, aging is inevitable. But how you age — that's a choice.

And for those who refuse to settle, who want the second half of life to be their best half — welcome to It's Only Halftime Nutrition.

Your body deserves the best. And we're here to do our best to deliver it.
