L-Citrulline Malate

Converts to arginine more efficiently than arginine itself does. Raises nitric oxide, widens vessels, and improves oxygen and nutrient delivery to working muscle. Six grams is the amount used in most of the performance research, which is exactly why it is the amount here.

Taste and mixability

Sweetened the way I would sweeten it in clinic.

Most of the category tastes the way it does because sucralose is cheap and covers a lot of sins. This one is sweetened with allulose and Reb-M stevia, which cost considerably more and taste like sugar rather than like the aftertaste that follows sugar. Forty calories and a single gram of carbohydrate per scoop.

Nothing artificial in the glass

I could not find one I would hand a patient without a caveat.

I spent a long time looking. The good ones were stimulant bombs. The clean ones were underdosed. Almost all of them were sweetened with something I spend my clinic hours telling people to avoid. Eventually it became easier to build the thing than to keep apologizing for the alternatives.

So I built this one to the standard I use in practice: if an ingredient is in the scoop, it has a job, it has human data behind it, and it is present at an amount that reflects how it was studied. If it is only there to cut cost or move product off a shelf, it is not in here.

You should feel this within the first session. You should also feel fine at nine o'clock that night. Both of those are the point.

Questions, answered

Before your first scoop.

One scoop or two?

Start with one, and I strongly encourage that rather than merely suggest it. Assess your sensitivity across several sessions before you consider two. Stimulant tolerance varies widely between people, and beta-alanine paresthesia is dose-related, so there is nothing to gain by jumping straight to the full dose and something real to lose.

Two scoops is the full training dose. That is where citrulline reaches 6,000 mg, beta-alanine reaches 3,200 mg, and paraxanthine reaches 200 mg, the amounts these ingredients were actually studied at. Move up once you know how you respond, both during the session and that night. One scoop also remains a genuine half-dose with a permanent place: easier training days, later sessions, or an afternoon when you want the focus without the full stimulant load.

Will I get the beta-alanine tingles?

Some people do. It is called paresthesia, a harmless skin tingle across the face, neck, or hands that shows up 15 to 20 minutes in and fades within the hour. It is a known effect of beta-alanine, not a warning sign. Starting with one scoop for the first two sessions usually keeps it mild.

How is paraxanthine different from caffeine?

Your liver converts caffeine into three metabolites, and paraxanthine is the one accounting for most of the alertness effect. Starting with paraxanthine skips the conversion step, so onset is faster and clearance is more predictable. In practice that means less of the pounding pulse and cortisol spike, and less of the trailing edge that ruins sleep. It is still a stimulant. It is just a cleaner one.

Does it stack with NAD Catalyst?

It is arguably the best pairing in the line, and for a specific reason. This formula works on blood flow, buffering, neural drive, and conduction — everything around energy production. NAD is what sits inside it. Every contraction you make is funded by NAD cycling between its oxidized and reduced forms in glycolysis and the Krebs cycle. The malic acid in the MalTor® complex feeds that cycle directly, and NAD is the cofactor those enzymes require to process it.

Practically speaking, NAD Catalyst delivers 500 mg of nicotinamide riboside and 150 mg of ATP alongside niacinamide and Albion® di-magnesium malate. There is no stimulant in it, so nothing compounds with the paraxanthine here. The only overlap worth knowing about is magnesium, and combined they still land well within a sensible daily range. This one is acute and taken before training. That one is daily and cumulative. Different jobs, same system.

Can I take it in the afternoon or evening?

Paraxanthine clears faster than caffeine, which is why many people tolerate it later in the day. That said, everyone metabolizes stimulants differently. If you train in the evening, try it on a night you can afford a mediocre night's sleep before you make it a habit.

Can I stack it with creatine?

Yes, and it is a sensible pairing. Creatine works on the phosphocreatine system for short, heavy efforts; this formula works on blood flow, buffering, and neural drive. They do not compete. Creatine is also not timing-dependent, so take it whenever it is easiest to stay consistent.

Does it break a fast?

It is sweetened with allulose and stevia rather than sugar, and calories per scoop are minimal. Whether that counts as breaking a fast depends on how strictly you define one. For most people training fasted, it does not present a practical problem.

Why does it cost more per serving than the tub at the big-box store?

Because of what is in the scoop and what is left out. Licensed ingredient forms cost more than generic ones. Allulose and Reb-M cost more than sucralose. Full doses cost more than dustings, and there are no fillers taking up cheap volume. At $1.48 per scoop and $2.95 for the full two-scoop training dose, this sits at the premium end of the category. You can absolutely buy cheaper. What you cannot buy cheaper is this ingredient list.

I take blood pressure or heart medication. Is this appropriate for me?

Ask your prescribing physician first. This formula contains a stimulant and ingredients that affect vasodilation, both of which can interact with cardiovascular medications. That is a conversation to have with the person managing your prescriptions, not something to sort out from a product page.
